About PRS


Prime Rehabilitation Services, Inc. specializes in the development of comprehensive and customized therapy programs (PT, OT, SLP) based on the individual needs of each facility. PRS management and the therapy staff are PPS and Medicare experts and help nursing homes succeed under the changing government regulations.

PRS was formed in 1996 and is privately owned by Yaffa and Eli Liebermann. The management staff personally visits each facility on a weekly basis to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and the continuation of our superior program. In addition, each location has a rehabilitation supervisor who handles the daily communication and operation within the nursing home.

Yaffa Liebermann, yaffa@primerehab.com, is the Owner/Director of the company. She is a Physical Therapist with over 30 years of experience. She is a board certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS) and has worked in the nursing home business for the past 18 years. She is certified in NDT Adult Hemiplegia and also specializes in Vertebral and Peripheral Mobilization by the Maitland method as well as PNF, McKenzie Myofascial Release, and Reflexology. Yaffa has developed a Mastectomy Rehabilitation Program and a Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, which are implemented in hospitals and respiratory centers. Having a passion to further educate herself as well as others, Yaffa attends many conferences and education programs. She speaks at special interest groups such as Parkinson, Mastectomy, Post Polio, COPD, Senior Citizens Center, Schools and community functions across the nation. Yaffa is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association where she was holding the position of secretary for the Special Interest Groups Community Health and is the Geriatric Liaison for APTA in NJ. She helps PRS provide and maintain a high-level comprehensive rehabilitation program for patients in long-term care facilities throughout the state of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Eli Liebermann, eli@primerehab.com, is the President of the company and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Rutgers University. He has over 20 years of management experience. As company president, he is in charge of business development, contract negotiations, and also acts as a consultant on daily events.

Tamar Brooks, tamar@primerehab.com, Director of Operations, handles all of PRS business activities. She has a Masters in Engineering from the University of Michigan and a MBA from New York University. She is an expert in PPS and oversees daily operations, billing, accounts payable/receivable, and human resources. Tamar has given numerous inservices throughout the state and has provided rehabilitation consultation to various facilities especially focused on PPS training.

Our services are broad and range from clinical intervention and education, to support with your billing process to minimize denials from insurance billing. All our services are provided in accordance with facility and state regulations.


SERVICES WE PROVIDE

PRS specializes in the development of customized programs based on the individual needs of your organization. Our therapists will provide an evaluation within 24 hours of an admission to identify residents who would benefit from intervention and establish individualized goals.

Our Physical Therapists concentrate on improving the patient's ability to walk, increase their balance, muscle strength and coordination through personal "hands on" treatment. Recovery is enhanced by the use of electrical stimulation, moist heat, ultrasound, whirlpool treatment and other modalities as specified by the physician.

Our Occupational Therapists strive to work with the patient in reaching the maximum level of independence in activities of daily living (ADL) such as dressing, bathing, cooking, feeding, toileting skills and leisure activities.

Our Speech-Language Pathologists provide intervention for patients who have difficulty communicating or have problems swallowing. The goal is to enhance cognitive and swallowing strategies to the highest functional levels.
