RECENT EVENTS ON THE HOME FRONT
Tamar Brooks, Director of Operations, is conducting PPS in-services at all of our contracted facilities, educating the rehabilitation department and nursing staff on the newly refined RUG 53 classification system. Included in the in-services are discussions of the reimplementation of the Medicare Part B cap and its' impact within the facility.
PRS is proud to host continuing education seminars on BPPV with speaker Christine McLaughlin, DPT, Rehabilitation Supervisor. These seminars slated for Spring 2006 will benefit all therapists that have patients that suffer from dizziness. CEU hours will be awarded for both Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists. PRS held its eighth annual Holiday Party. It was held on December 9, 2005. All employees and their spouses enjoyed an elegant dinner and the opportunity to mingle with their colleagues. It was a grand evening and we toasted to another great year ahead.
With continuing education a top priority, PRS has hosted Yaffa Liebermann's seminar NDT: Approach to the Geriatric Population, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and in Parsippany, Atlantic City, and Carteret, New Jersey. After a wonderful dinner included with the seminars, Yaffa has inspired over 340 therapists in attendance and educated them on the latest NDT treatment techniques. As both an APTA and AOTA Approved Provider of Continuing Education, most Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists in attendance were awarded 2.5 CEU hours.
In November 2005, PRS participated in the Health Care Association of New Jersey annual convention in Atlantic City. It was a wonderful opportunity to discuss our program and network with other vendors. In addition, NJHCA hosted Yaffa Liebermann's seminar NDT: Approach to the Geriatric Population. The seminar was greatly praised by all those in attendance.
In August 2005, PRS held its eighth annual picnic. All the employees attended with their family and friends. We had a great time and enjoyed playing games, eating catered food and socializing! The weather was perfect and all had a great time.
In February 2005, PRS held its annual company-wide meeting. On the agenda were the results of the company wide employee survey and the unveiling of the new benefit structure that included flexible spending accounts, increased quarterly profit sharing bonuses, and vision care to medical coverage. Employees were very pleased that their suggestions were implemented.
